We all know this. Steve Jobs introducing the apple i Pad. And it is shown in this picture that you can read newspapers here instead of buying the actual newspaper. This will be possible if you have a WiFi connection.

Yes, convenience that is brought by wireless connection is trending nowadays. Most people prefer using these wireless medium to connect to the internet than having the printed material instead. in my opinion, yes in is convenient. But, not everyone prefer it.
Most of the older people are still reluctant to try these different devices. As they get more complicated, the more they refuse to try. Take for example my father, every time i show him a message from my phone, he will end up deleting it instead of reading it because it’s a touch screen phone, in the end, he no longer wants to see the message if ever there is a back up. My father is just one of them. Also, too much exposure to these electronic devices, a computer for example, may damage our eyes in the long run.
Also, not everyone can afford these devices. Thus, they will still turn to the different reading materials, like newspaper and magazine, to get information.
So no, newspaper, and other reading materials and medium is not dying. It won’t be replaced by the convenience that wireless connection brings. Life is a cycle. And change is constant. But, like in fashion for example, one day it’s in, the next day it’s out. Trends change but it will find its way back. “Ang uso kahapon, maaaring di na uso ngayon. Pero and uso kahapon, maaaring maging uso ulit bukas.”

Free internet in the office or free phone that has a plan, are only some of the “freebies” an employee gets from the company she is working for. But should the messages being sent and received be private? In my opinion, it should not be kept private for several reasons. These items were issued for company use. If these were used for personal reasons, it is okay provided that they are aware that these messages will not be kept private from the company. Another is, for the welfare of the company. These messages will be the only proof of the company against the employee if ever there are issues or offenses committed. Also, this is one way for the company to monitor their employees.
There would be nothing wrong if the employers will demand for monthly compilation of messages of the employees. These messages will also be part the monitoring system of the employers for the performance of the employees.
Even so, after all of these has been said, each and everyone of us is still entitled for our own privacy. Even if an employer will demand to monitor messages of the employees, in one point or another, there should be a limit to it.

Nowadays, with the use of different electronic devices, like mobile phone, ipads, ipod, laptop or computer, life has been easier and more convenient. Moreover, a new trend has come up, online shopping. You can access and purchase things from stores miles away from you, by means of online shopping. All you have to do is pay the price of the product and additional fee for it’s shipping either pay it through the bank, with the use of credit cards, and alike.
But how can we assure that it is safe for us and our personal information (i.e., pin number for credit cards or bank account), to go through these kind of transaction? Can we really trust merchants online?
In this world we live in today, where one country to another is going through economic crisis, and a lot of people are experiencing effects of these, it is inevitable that there are people that are willing to deceive other people in other to earn money. To ensure that the online shop you have visited is legitimate and trustworthy, it is safer for us to see other feedbacks from other clients that have successfully transacted with that certain site. Also, it is better if we look for more information about that site just to be sure. In addition, site that have https:// at the beginning of their URL are more trustworthy rather than site that only have http://.
In stores that you can walk in to, you can readily be able to judge the merchant since you can personally see him or her, unlike with online shopping. Also, in some stores, the prices are fixed, but in online shopping, there are some merchants that offer prices for their products that are still negotiable.
As for the regulation of online transaction, it would be better if the consumer advocacy groups would be the ones responsible for it. i said this for the reason that, i think they would monitor it better than the government which also deals with a lot of different stuff.
This is as much as i can say and share with you. The rest will still depend on you. :)
